Set Custom Rotary and Tilt table position limits
The XYZ and AB axis limits can be changed using the LIMITS command.
Instead of requiring an EPROM change, now the limit for any axis can be changed with setting a new value with the LIMITS command.
For example to set the limits for a Fadal TR-65 or TR-165 tilt rotary table with the limits +15 degrees -105 degrees enter the command as (use additional .1 to provide small cushion):
LIMITS,5,254.9,15.1
The limits for any axis can be changed with the LIMITS command providing complete flexibility to the work area limits. The limits shown below show A no limits. If an A rotary table limit was needed then one could be entered to change the no limit to a + and - limit in degrees.
Here are some examples of the fixed EPROMS Fadal would provide. There was no way to change this fixed limit values:
