Internal/Pendant mount USB controller for all CNC's

The USBCNC USB controller acts as an interface between commercially available USB flash memory and any CNC with a serial port. Operators simply plug in a USB key with part programs and transfer files without requiring a computer on the shop floor or running long network cables throughout the shop. The close proximity of the USB controller eliminates noise concerns of long serial cables which translates into the ability to communicate at the CNC's fastest highest baud rate. Machine tool files can be sent from CNC memory to the USB key, USB key to CNC memory or drip fed (DNC) from the USB key.

Pendant mounting eliminates cables on the outside of the machine tool and integrates USB memory as if it were part of the machine. The internal pendant mount kit includes convenient DIN rail mounting of USB controller inside the CNC pendant, 2GB USB key, power cables, mounting bezel/drill jig for display and water proof panel mount USB plug.) A switch-box version is available for users who wish to maintain the serial port on their CNC's. The USBCNC-SW passes serial data in its stand-by state. When connection to a USB key is required, it closes that connections and communicates with the CNC's serial port. The pass through mode is restored when USB activity is complete.

A switchbox version of the USBCNC (USBCNC-SW) features a serial pass through so that RS-232 connections can be maintained on the machine. The switchbox version works much like an A/B switchbox by turning off the external serial port when accessing USB files and returns to a normal passive state when complete. The switching is done automatically without operator intervention.
