USBCNC-FAD
The
USBCNC-FAD disk reader
control acts as an interface
between commercially
available USB flash memory
and any Fadal CNC 88 using the
RS-232 port located at the
rear of the machine. USB
connectivity can be achieved
with any Fadal control. Operation
of the USBCNC is done using the
machine's keyboard and monitor. The USBCNC-FAD contains
integrated DNC functionality
for drip feed operation of
large files from any USB key.
Once in DNC mode, cycle time is
optimized by simply pressing the
Start button on the Fadal
pendant to repeat the program
indefinitely.
Designed for easy field
installation, the total time
required for USB
connectivity is usually less
than 5 minutes. The USBCNC-FAD
controller has all the same
features as the Fadal CNC floppy
drive option, but with far
greater memory and reliability.
Includes a 2 GB USB key.
(Tested to 500 GB w/external USB
hard drive.)
